Introduction:

Indulge in this gourmet appetizer that combines the creamy richness of burrata, the savory delight of prosciutto, and the sweetness of ripe peaches, all brought together with a touch of hot honey. Perfect for entertaining or a special treat, these Cheesy Burrata and Prosciutto Toasts are sure to impress.

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf sourdough or French baguette, sliced
  • cup grated parmesan cheese
  • cup grated pecorino cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 ounces prosciutto
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 peaches, sliced
  • Hot honey, for serving
  • Fresh basil

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400° F (200° C).
  2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: On a baking sheet, mix the parmesan, pecorino, grated garlic, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and a pinch of pepper. Spread this mixture in an even layer on the baking sheet.
  3. Prepare the Bread: Place the sliced bread over the cheese mixture on the baking sheet. Brush the tops of the bread with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
  4. Add the Prosciutto: Arrange the prosciutto on top of and around the bread slices on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted and golden, about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Assemble the Toasts: Arrange the cheesy bread on a serving platter or board. Break the burrata cheese over the bread slices. Top with sliced peaches, crispy prosciutto, fresh basil leaves, and a drizzle of hot honey.
  7. Serve: These toasts are delicious served warm, but they are also great at room temperature.
